Raynor opener logic board repair in Henderson typically runs $120 – $320 installed, depending on the board revision your opener needs and whether we’re swapping the board or troubleshooting the wiring around it. We stock Raynor-compatible logic boards on our trucks, so most repair calls are finished in a single visit. The usual story we hear: the opener worked fine for years, then suddenly won’t respond to the wall button or remotes, or it opens but won’t close, or the lights flicker and the motor hums without moving the door. That’s almost always the logic board giving up, and it’s a part we replace rather than nurse along.
Which Raynor Models This Applies To
Raynor puts logic boards in every opener line they sell: Pilot, Navigator, Aviator, and the residential Power Series, along with older Commander and Centurion models still running in a lot of Henderson garages. The gotcha is that board part numbers changed between manufacturing runs even within the same series, so two Pilot openers from different years may need different boards. The reliable identifier is the part number printed on the original board’s label, usually starting with a 4- or 5-digit sequence, not the model number on the motor housing. If you text us a photo of the board before we arrive, we’ll bring the right revision the first time.
For older Raynor units where the OEM board is discontinued, we use quality aftermarket boards that match the original voltage and signal specs. They work, and they cost less than tracking down a new-old-stock OEM board. For newer openers under ten years old, we recommend the Raynor OEM board because the circuit paths and safety reversal logic are identical to what shipped from the factory, and we’d rather not introduce a variable into a door that protects your kids and your cars. Fernbrook Garage Doors Henderson is an independent service provider and not affiliated with Raynor, though Raynor remains one of the eight brands our technicians train on.

Signs Your Raynor Opener Logic Board Is Failing
- Wall button works, remotes don’t, or vice versa. The receiver circuit and the wall-control circuit run through different paths on the same board. When one path dies and the other still works, the board is usually the failure point rather than the remote or the button.
- Opener clicks but doesn’t run. The relay that sends power to the motor sits on the logic board. A dry click with no movement often means that relay has failed while the rest of the board still thinks it’s doing its job.
- Door reverses immediately after touching the floor. The board interprets the force-sensor signal and decides when to stop. A board that misreads that signal will reverse a perfectly healthy door every time.
- LED lights flicker or stay on dim. The board regulates power to the lights. Flickering or glowing at half-brightness means the board’s voltage regulation is failing, even if the motor still runs.
- Opener opens by itself, or the light turns on at random. This is a board picking up stray signal noise or shorting internally. It’s also a safety concern, since an opener that moves on its own can catch a hand or a paw in the track.
One Henderson-specific detail: our summer heat pushes attic and garage temperatures past 110 degrees for weeks at a time, and circuit boards hate sustained heat. Capacitors swell, solder joints weaken, and boards that would have lasted fifteen years in a milder climate fail at ten here. When we replace a Raynor board in a Henderson garage, we check the ventilation around the opener housing and mention if the unit is cooking itself in place.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
Raynor logic board replacement in Henderson falls into the $120 – $320 range installed. The spread depends on three things: whether your Raynor opener needs an OEM board or an aftermarket equivalent, how old the unit is, and whether we’re also correcting wiring or sensor issues that contributed to the board failure. Newer Raynor OEM boards run toward the top of that range; aftermarket boards for older units sit at the bottom.
That price includes the part, the labor, the diagnosis, and a full test of the opener’s safety reversal and force settings before we leave. You’ll get the written price before any work starts, every time, no exceptions. If we open the housing and find the board is fine but a safety sensor wire has been chewed through by a Henderson pack rat, we’ll tell you that and adjust the quote down, not up. The work is covered under our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, stamped on every job.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check a few things yourself before calling. Is the opener plugged in and the outlet live? Are the safety sensors at the bottom of the track aligned and clean? Is the wall button’s lock switch engaged? Those take five minutes and cost nothing. Anything past that means opening the motor housing, where you’re working near 120-volt connections and a capacitor that holds a charge even when the unit’s unplugged. A capacitor can knock you on your back. We’d rather you let one of our background-checked, uniformed technicians handle anything inside that housing, and we’ll have the board swapped and tested while your kids are still napping. Call (775) 458-7045 and we’ll send someone out.
FAQs
Most Raynor logic boards last 10 to 15 years, but Henderson’s summer heat regularly shortens that to 8 to 12 years when the opener lives in an unventilated garage. Boards fail from heat stress, power surges, and age-related component breakdown, in that order. If yours is past the ten-year mark and acting up, the board is the likely culprit, and a replacement typically makes more sense than chasing intermittent symptoms.
We don’t repair individual board components. Soldering surface-mount components on a garage door opener board is more expensive than replacement and the repair rarely lasts. Swapping the board is the honest fix, and it’s what keeps your opener’s safety reversal logic reliable for the next decade.
Most Raynor logic board replacements take 45 to 90 minutes from opening the housing to testing the door’s full cycle. We carry the common Raynor board revisions on our trucks, so the swap usually happens on the first visit, same day.
We stock the common Raynor board revisions for Pilot, Navigator, Aviator, and Power Series openers, along with aftermarket equivalents for older models. If you send a photo of the board’s part number before we arrive, we’ll confirm we have the right one before we even roll the truck. We also stock parts for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie if you have a second opener of a different brand.
No. We give you a written price before any work starts, and that’s the price you pay unless you approve a change in scope. If the diagnosis turns up a different problem than the board, we’ll explain what we found and put the new number in writing before anything else happens. If I can name what’s wrong and put a number on fixing it, you can decide, no pressure either way.
If your Raynor opener is acting up and you’re in Henderson, Green Valley, or anywhere across the valley, call (775) 458-7045. A live person answers 24/7, and we’ll get a tech out with the right board, shoe covers on the floors, and a photo of the clean-up before we go.
